Dear Humble Human

How we can manifest our thoughts into compassion. When we learn about key species through eco-fiction stories we begin to love the earth and all who dwell here.

A bee lies before me on the hardened sandstone, knocked around from the winds. I pick her up with a stick (most bees are female) and lay her on a nearby flower shrub. I bless her, and thank her.

My thoughts shift into a space of key species. How many have we lost? How can we change our ways so we can all thrive? I breathe in gratitude for the mountain air, and the moment of connection.

The wolf I’ve hiked with nudges me with her nose. She has a mix of husky and wolf in her.. Her handler smiles down at us, at our rest stop on top of the hill. The bee lands on my finger. I smile with delight, happy to squat with the bee and a wolf. My heart swells with joy. I am grateful for the Wolf Connection community.

I begin to trust that human behavior can change. We can manifest our thoughts into compassion.

But before that can happen, we must change the current destructive story of each key species. For instance the orcas, known as the wolves of the sea, are the largest key species in the San Juan Island  ecosystem. The longer they remain in captivity the easier it becomes to destroy their natural habitat.  We know their home in the wild is threatened by a mountain oil pipeline. Once returned to their natural waters, the entire community will thrive again.

The real question becomes. What can we each do to lessen our dependence on oil?

Become conscious of packaging, Make different choices when traveling, ride bikes, or take a train. Mostly, focus on what you do want to see done differently. Let your imagination run wild. Feel into what is the solution to our world’s woe’s? What can we do differently? What action steps lead to an outcome you want to see.

Would you be willing to reach out to companies and ask them to make changes? One voice goes unheard, but many together, sound like a wolf pack.

Let’s howl together.

Stories help our consciousness change. When we learn about key species of insects or animals, on the planet through a focused story we begin to build compassion, and the desire for transformation becomes real.

As you read the eco fiction stories pay greater attention to how you feel moment to moment. That’s where the juice is.  In that one present moment  the greatest shifts in our external world happen. Choose the thoughts which feel good, for the greater good.

Humble Human, to emphasize how we can manifest our thoughts into compassion, try this affirmation. We care for every creature, and help regenerate every ecosystem.

In the meantime I invite you to find companies, organizations, and people who align with your dreams and visions for the future. I invite you to attend the free eco-fiction summit August 9th.Come meet and listen to a few creative writers who write eco-fiction/eco-fantasy and non-fiction. We need one another through these changes.

If you register for the summit, you’ll be entered to win a free Nook. Our footprint is green.
