A force of nature. Earth Coach. An cool athletic hippie whose made muddy tracks all over the world.

I have been known as an earth coach, perhaps because of my obsession with compost!  The Gaia School of Awakening Series came from this inspired title Guardian for Gaia, but I soon realized most people don’t know Gaia is an affectionate term for Earth. I hope to change that with the book series. I began writing it in 2011 in the Kitsap Peninsula in the Pacific North West. Picture a warm sunny day at a park. A tiny helicopter buzzed nearby. The sound came closer, and closer, until a tiny dragon fly landed on the pages I’d been writing long hand. After a short staring contest, (I lost) the glorious dragonfly found it’s way into the story, after it left her mark on my heart.

What inspires me is nature. Rain or shine, daily bike rides, or runs, keep my soul fit. Mediation brings inspiration from the wonders surrounding me each day.

All the travels, and different places I’ve had the privilege to call home, have given me the opportunity to experience the beauty and compassion the earth gives. I’ve breathed-in the salty air from the Pacific and Atlantic oceans howled with wolves in California, and hiked the mountains of Colorado. A few times I’ve been lucky to swim with wild dolphins in Hawaii. Each adventure experienced has kept my force of nature healthy, imaginative and alive. I revere the wonderous playground our planet offers and shares them in the books and articles I write.

The Animal Whispers Series began on a trip to the San Juan Islands in 2012, when the naturalist shared the stories of J and K pods of the resident orca populations. Compassion flooded my being, when one of the majestic orcas, Ruffles, due to his wavy tail, swam alongside the boat opened his eye, and met mine. I felt the sentient connection, which shaped my perception of all animals in the land, air, and seas. The naturalist on the boat explained orcas hang our with their mothers for life. Talk about a mamma’s boy!

The images below show my love of animals. I’ve hiked with wolves in California. Danced and splashed with dolphins in the wild. Hung out with cows on thier free range ranch in New Zealand. I had to experience goat yoga on Maui. I thought they would be the dwarf goats…lol, but I still enjoyed the experience, and they did too!
